The result is the Titanium/Damascus Delica 4, a refined expression of the classic Delica that offers old-world craftsmanship and the best of modern materials.The most dramatic feature of the Titanium/Damascus Delica is its breathtaking blade clad in Damascus steel. The blade material known as D.P.S. 15 is manufactured by Takefu Special Steel Company, Ltd. in Japan. It consists of VG-10 stainless steel sandwiched between two outer layers of Damascus steel. Each Damascus layer consists of 15 forge-welded steel layers, with beautiful patterning and etching to reveal the details of the structure. The finished blade, meticulously ground for excellent edge geometry, is characterised by a total of 31 steel layers, offering an exceptional mix of strength, cutting performance and beauty.The dramatic blade of the Delica is complemented by a precision-machined solid 6AL-4V titanium handle. This modern material has been awarded for its low weight, extraordinary strength and excellent durability. The titanium panels are precision-machined, and bead blasting gives them a beautiful grey colour. They are supported by a stainless steel spacer, and the blade is secured by a strong back lock mechanism. All parts are assembled with precision stainless steel Torx screws and are made by hand with great care. The lanyard hole is completed with a stainless steel liner tube and a polished four-position stainless steel pocket clip.
