In the 1980s the original Spyderco Endura set the style as one of the first lightweight pocket knives with a belt clip. Today it remains one of our most popular models and continues to set the direction for other knives in its category. Now in its fourth generation, it has inspired a wide range of variations to meet almost every user's needs and preferences.
All Endura 4 Lightweight pocket knives are made with skeletonised stainless steel liners and a fibreglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handle. The special variant of the basic model has a blunt, round-tipped blade made of AUS-6 stainless steel. The holes in the blade reduce its weight so that it is similar to its sharp-bladed sibling, and together with the red FRN handle panels make it instantly recognisable as a training tool. All other features of the knife, including the strong back lock mechanism and the four-position hourglass-shaped pocket clip, faithfully reflect the sharp version it represents. In this way it can be used for carrying, drawing, opening practice and safe contact with a training partner.
