MoVa 1.4116 stainless steel: MoVa steel is made by adding molybdenum and vanadium and is hardened to 57–61 HRC. It is one of the preferred base materials of cutting tool manufacturers. In general, it is a very good steel for knives for general use, hunting or bushcraft. The steel composition is 0.53% carbon, 0.50% manganese, 0.35% silicon, 14.50% chromium, 0.50% molybdenum and 0.18% vanadium. It is similar to the general properties of X48Cr13.
