Spyderco's best-selling Para 3 folding knife combines all the key features of every tested Para Military 2 model in an ultra-compact, portable format. This pioneering design takes another step forward by incorporating injection-moulded, glass-fibre-reinforced nylon (FRN) panels and a simplified version of Spyderco's patented Compression Lock mechanism to create the Para 3 Lightweight.
The Para 3 Lightweight is almost 30% lighter than G-10 handled models, and features a linerless, open-back construction and Spyderco's high-pressure Bi-Directional Texture pattern. The stainless steel lock bar inside the handle forms the basis of the strong locking system while keeping the overall mass to an absolute minimum. Its full-flat ground blade is made of CTS-BD1N, a nitrogen-enriched, high-carbon chromium steel that offers an excellent balance of hardness, edge retention and corrosion resistance.
Available with either a PlainEdge or a fully serrated SpyderEdge, the blade has the signature Round Hole feature, allowing rapid one-handed opening with either hand. The large lanyard hole and reversible wire clip complete the impressive features, providing discreet left- or right-side carry and allowing easy attachment of a lanyard or knife charm.
