The Spyderco Police Model was developed in the early 1980s at the request of law enforcement officers who wanted a thin, easy-to-carry pocket knife with serious cutting performance. The result was the Police Model – one of the most durable and iconic pocket knives ever manufactured.
The classic version of the Police Model has a satin-finished stainless steel handle with rounded edges for maximum comfort during use. This handle structure provides a solid foundation for the knife's strong back lock mechanism, which features a Boye Dent to prevent accidental release during use. The VG-10 stainless steel blade has a hollow-ground edge.
PlainEdge, SpyderEdge and CombinationEdge models are available. The Police Model blade includes the trademark Round Hole thumb hole for fast, reliable one-handed opening. The four-position hourglass-shaped pocket clip completes the package, supporting tip-up or tip-down carry on both sides of the body, so it is comfortable for both right- and left-handed users.
