Description
The self-sharpening effect results from the contact during cutting between the titanium-nitride-coated cutting edge, with 75–80 HRC hardness, and the other cutting edge of normal hardness. Used as intended (exclusively for cutting human fingernails or the skin of the nail bed), it retains its sharpness for many years. German laboratory tests tested them for 103,000 cuts, after which the cutting performance of the scissors remained at 90%. Future sharpening: only on the normal cutting surface, in a specialist workshop.
Due to the special manufacturing process, the dispersion of the colour additive in the titanium-nitride coating results in varied and unique colour shades. Therefore, slight differences in shade may occur compared with the image shown.
