Description
Wüsthof Classic Ikon Creme steak knife with 12 cm blade and cream-coloured handle, in gift box.
Properties:
• Blade material: laser-sharpened, 58 HRC hardness, single-piece forged stainless X50CrMoV15 steel
• Blade length: 12 cm
• Blade width: 2 cm
• Handle: riveted synthetic
• Overall length: 22.9 cm
• Weight: 78 g
Expert's recommendation:
“A Wüsthof ‘Ikon Weiss’ steak knife, or as it was formerly and perhaps more aptly called, ‘Ikon Royal’, fits well with today's kitchen design and also serves as a useful decoration on an elegantly laid table. Thanks to its beautifully curved, well-balanced handle and very tough, strong blade, it has become an iconic symbol of elite households. Despite its high price, the knife is a success, as its bone-white handle harmonises well with fine table linen, the snow-white tablecloth or branded porcelain.”
Further manufacturer information:
Excellently balanced, and ergonomically tested and developed. Essential in discerning households. Recommended for professionals working in various areas of gastronomy, chefs and pastry chefs, and an excellent tool for home use.
Wüsthof Classic Ikon Creme series. A light alternative for the modern kitchen. Elegant design. Outstanding functionality. With its cream-coloured handle, the Classic Ikon series knives are not only special on the knife market but also a genuinely eye-catching sight in any kitchen. The special synthetic handle panels, like those of the black Classic Ikon, are satin-finished, permanently riveted and assembled without gaps, meeting the highest hygiene standards. Thanks to the innovative bolster geometry and the handle's ergonomic, smooth shape, the knife sits perfectly balanced in the hand and is easy to use. The laser-sharpened, 58 HRC, single-piece forged stainless X50CrMoV15 steel blade runs through the handle; with a 30° edge angle it is extremely sharp and stays that way for a very long time. The PEtec laser-controlled process is used to create the perfect edge, and the final finishing is done by hand by Wüsthof's experienced specialists for maximum sharpness. The various blade shapes guarantee precise cutting. The special design makes cutting, slicing, chopping and portioning easier.
The Wüsthof Classic Ikon Creme series is certified by NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) for public health and food safety.
• Double bolster geometry – Balance and ergonomics – the special geometry with a double bolster ensures balanced handling. The knife sits well in the hand and guarantees even cutting.
• Half bolster – Thanks to the thinner bolster construction of the knife, it is lighter. This allows energy-saving work. The design also allows the full blade to be used and re-sharpened.
• Handle end with logo – The riveted ergonomic handle ensures a perfect grip, and the handle end is decorated with an elegant laser-engraved Wüsthof logo.
• Peeling knife – The practical knife with its short, curved cutting edge is particularly useful for peeling and cleaning round fruits and vegetables. Valuable vitamins remain intact thanks to the precision blade, which reduces food waste.
• Fluted blade – When cutting, small air pockets form in the blade's recesses. This means thin or soft foods can be removed from the blade more easily during use and do not stick.
• Precision double-serrated edge – The bread knife with its unique double-serrated edge cuts through a hard crust as easily as soft bread, or large fruits such as pumpkin. It stays sharp for longer and requires less effort when cutting. The difference compared with a conventional serrated edge is immediately noticeable.
