Wüsthof Gourmet series
Agile and versatile. Gourmet knife blades are cut from rolled stainless X50CrMoV15 steel by precision laser and then processed in 35 production stages. The edge is ground to a 28° edge angle, and the final hand-finishing by specialists gives extraordinary sharpness and fast, easy cutting. Thanks to their very high hardness of 56 HRC, they are comparable to forged knives in quality and sharpness. Their low weight and unique ergonomics make them very comfortable to hold; they are extremely well balanced and strong, making cutting easier on both hand and wrist. The special black plastic handle is secured with three rivets. Dishwasher safe and therefore extremely hygienic. The Gourmet series offers excellent value for money and, with more than 40 different products, is as useful in households as a starter set or as basic equipment in a professional kitchen.
The Wüsthof Gourmet series holds NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) public health and food safety certification.
• Hand guard – The ergonomic knife handle fits well in the hand, and the curved end of the handle prevents slipping. The sturdy handle panels are fixed with stainless steel rivets.
• Tomato knife – The finely serrated edge of the tomato knife cuts smoothly through firm tomato skin, while the split tip lifts the slices. The knife is also good for cheese and fruit.
• Decorating knife – A special blade for decoratively cutting raw and cooked fruit and vegetables, or for finely portioning butter, is ideal for creative cooks.
• Full tang – The blade runs through the handle, providing reliable stability for the knife. It also acts as a counterweight, balancing the blade.
• Wavy edge – The inside-formed wavy edge gives a clean cut and is suitable for large fruit, vegetables or roasts. The wide, long blade is ideal for bread and cakes.
