Wüsthof Classic Ikon Creme series. The light alternative for the modern kitchen. Elegant design. Outstanding functionality. With its cream-coloured handle, the Classic Ikon series knives are not only special on the knife market but a real eye-catcher in any kitchen. The special synthetic handle panels, like the black Classic Ikon, are fine-grain finished, permanently riveted and assembled without gaps, meeting the highest hygiene requirements. Thanks to the innovative bolster geometry and the ergonomic, smooth shape of the handle, the knife sits perfectly balanced in the hand and is easy to use. The laser-sharpened, 58 HRC, single-piece forged stainless X50CrMoV15 steel blade runs through the handle; at a 30° edge angle it is extremely sharp and stays so for a very long time. The perfect edge is created with the laser-guided PEtec process, and the final work is done by hand by Wüsthof's experienced specialists for maximum sharpness. The various blade shapes guarantee precise cutting. The special construction makes cutting, slicing, chopping and portioning easier.
The Wüsthof Classic Ikon Creme series holds NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) certification for public health and food safety.
• Double bolster geometry: balance and ergonomics. The special geometry with a double bolster provides balanced handling, so the knife fits well in the hand and guarantees an even cut.
• Half bolster: thanks to the thinner support structure of the knife it is lighter, which allows energy-efficient work. The design also allows the full blade to be used and re-sharpened.
• Handle end with logo: the riveted ergonomic handle ensures a perfect grip, and the handle end is decorated with an elegant laser-engraved Wüsthof logo.
• Paring knife: this practical knife with a short curved cutting edge is especially useful for peeling and cleaning round fruit and vegetables. Valuable vitamins remain intact thanks to the precision blade, which reduces food waste.
• Fluted blade: during cutting, small air pockets form in the recesses of the blade. The positive effect is that thin or soft foods can be removed more easily from the blade during use and do not stick to it.
• Precision double-serrated edge: the bread knife with its unique double-serrated edge cuts hard crusts as easily as soft bread or large fruit such as pumpkin. It stays sharp longer and requires less effort when cutting. The difference compared with a traditional serrated edge is immediately noticeable.
